Clergy Training & Community Awareness
Recent studies show that victims of domestic violence often turn to clergy seeking support and assistance in making decisions about their safety and future. DAYENU! empowers religious leaders to address the issue of domestic violence in their congregations by dissecting the myths and stereotypes about domestic abuse that imprison families and make women, children, and men fearful for their lives. In its professional training programs, clergy learn to recognize signs of domestic violence; practice compassionate ways of assisting those living with violence at home; and become familiar with local resources including specialized social and legal services.
DAYENU! trains ordained clergy and seminary students and faith educators of all denominations. It prepares clergy of all faiths to work with victims in interfaith settings.
Since 2005, DAYENU! has:
Provided this vital intervention training for 500+ clergy members.
